Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i on Friday lauded Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga following his continued support to the government.
Matiang'i speaking at Nyanturago during the burial of ex-Nyaribari Masaba MP Hezron Manduku said Raila has Kenyans at heart.
The Cabinet Secretary said Raila should not be called names because he agreed to bring peace between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"I'm happy for Raila because he chose Kenyans than himself. Leaders should stop calling Raila names because he is not an enemy. It is time leaders irrespective of their political affiliations to join hands to work for Kenyans," Matiang'i opined.
He assured that he will not disappoint the Head of State while discharging his duties to Kenyans.
Matiang'i warned that any politician caught inciting Kenyans will not be spared by the law.
"We cannot be lenient on politicians who are out to incite others to fight. The law will cut across all edges irrespective of who you are," he noted.
On matters corruption, Matiang'i who is the national government projects coordinator warned state officers against embezzling funds meant for development saying corruption is an offence which must be taken lightly.
He challenged political leaders to be on the front line to fight graft.
