Capital FM breakfast show hosts Amina Abdi and Fareed Khimani are trending on social media after they had a nasty disagreement on air on Friday morning. The two are believed to have clashed over the huge difference in their salary.
According to a section of the netizens, Amina Abdi who also doubles up as the host of the Trend on NTV picked up a fight with Fareed Khimani on the grounds that she received less salary. The fight ended up in Fareed Khimani leaving the studio live on air.
Fareed Khimani who is one of the most celebrated radio presenters in the country made his return on Capital FM early last month. He had been working for Capital FM in the early 2000s before temporarily exiting radio. Khimani has also hosted some of the popular TV shows including KTN’s The Presenter.
Amina Abdi had at first praised Fareed Khimani when he came back on to work at Capital FM as her co-host.
Some of the netizens have however argued that the two presenters lacked Chemistry and therefore the fight did not come as a surprise. Others defended Fareed Khimani claiming he was more experienced and therefore deserved a higher salary.
