KTN news anchor Najma Ismail has landed a lucrative deal as an education goodwill ambassador.
Taking to her Facebook account, Najma announced her new role, adding that she was happy to be appointment as brand ambassador by the Kenya Education Fund.
"As an employee of the Standard Group I am humbled and honored to have been chosen by the Kenya Education Fund (KEF) team to become part of their noble cause of providing educational support to the less privileged. I am drawn to the impact KEF has on our country giving Kenyans access to quality education to improve communities and break the cycle of poverty," she posted.
On it's part, KEF noted that it was happy to have Najma on the team, adding that her main role will be to champion the organisation's initiatives.
"Kenya Education Fund is thrilled to welcome Najma Ismail in her new role as Goodwill Ambassador. She will be championing our work towards a self-reliant Kenya through quality education. As an influential role model in both her personal and professional life, in pursuit of women’s empowerment and gender equality, KEF is uniquely privileged to have her in our team," KEF posted on Facebook.
Najma Ismael started out at Iqra FM where she worked as a news anchor before joining Sound Asia FM.
She later moved to Radio Africa Group where she worked as a news anchor and reporter for Kiss 100 and Classic 105, and later on joined Standard Group’s KTN as a TV news anchor and reporter.
Among her best moments is when she was doing features on ‘KTN Job Center’, where she got to change the lives of several youth by giving them a national platform to get employment.
Najma has been awarded as one of the Top 30 Muslim Achievers in Kenya.
