A NASA rebel Member of Parliament has argued that Deputy President William Ruto is not scared to compete with other presidential candidates in the upcoming 2022 polls.
Speaking on Friday at Bogetenga, South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro dismissed claims that DP Ruto's presidential bid will be affected following the wrangles in Jubilee Party.
He noted that the 'Tanga Tanga' movement is focused on ensuring DP Ruto clinches the presidency in 2022.
"DP Ruto's critics should know that he is not scared of competing with other presidential candidates in 2022. The leadership wrangles in the Jubilee Party will have no impact in his bid to become the president in 2022," said the vocal legislator.
Osoro reiterated that it is his democratic right to work with DP Ruto despite the fact that he was elected on a Kenya National Congress Party ticket.
"I was elected on a small party but I had to look for people to work with to ensure there is accelerated development in South Mugirango. Those calling me names because I chose to work with DP Ruto should know come 2022 I must tell the electorates what I have done. I joined hands with DP Ruto so that my people can get development," he added.
