Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company Limited (ELDOWAS) has proposed an upward tariff review.
According to a notice signed by ELDOWAS Managing Director Paul Murgor, the move will help the water utility to operate at full cost recovery.
“Notice is given to the general public that Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company Limited (ELDOWAS) which has the license to provide water services in Uasin Gishu County has applied to the Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) for a regular tariff review,” the notice read.
“ELDOWAS proposes an upward tariff review to enable the water utility to operate at full cost recovery and meet conditions for improving service delivery,” the notice added.
The notice noted that the current tariff and the proposed tariff can be obtained from ELDOWAS website or at the ELDOWAS offices off Kampi Somali Road next to Rift Valley Bottlers (Coca-Cola).
Written comments on improvement on service delivery and comments on the upward tariff review should be addressed to the Managing Director, Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company Limited. P.O.Box 8418-300, Eldoret or info@eldowas.or.ke.
According to the notice, the comments for the improvement of services must be delivered before December 3, 2019. A public consultation meeting will be held on November 21, 2019, at Uasin Gishu County Hall at 9am.
