The team which is pro-Deputy President William Ruto has been crisscrossing the nation, at times with him, in support of his ideologies and endorsing his 2022 presidential ambitions.

He poked holes into the camp's claims that it is launching development projects, wondering why they are never accompanied by relevant state officials saying that it is simply playing politics.

"When the members of Tanga Tanga go round the country talking about projects, do they go with the line ministers and PSs? That is politics," he said.

Murathe was speaking on K24's Punchline show on Sunday night.

Murathe, a former Gatanga parliamentarian, also called for political calm reprimanding politicians who appear obsessed with the 2022 general elections debate.

He said that the nation still has three more years to go, adding that the remaining time is enough to give rise to changes that might completely rearrange the current setting of the political arena.

"This August we will have three more years remaining. A day in politics can be a very long time. Some people have been heard saying they are preparing for 2022 the way they are preparing for Jesus' second coming. That is blasphemy," he said.

Murathe has not been in good terms with the DP since his declaration earlier in the year that he will fight tooth and nail to block Ruto's presidential dream.

He has on several occasions been seen with members of the Kieleweke faction, a rival group of Tanga Tanga within Jubilee.
