Speaking on Wednesday during a panel discussion aired on KTN, socio-political commentator James Mamboleo said that DP should approach President Uhuru and be honest with him concerning the conduct of some of the cabinet secretaries which he has been alluding to in public forums as not okay.

" The deputy president should approach the president and tell him I'm not exactly happy with how some cabinet secretaries are going about their business, " James Mamboleo said.

The analyst's words come just days after the deputy president warned government officials against treating other people with contempt.

"Don't look at these people as if they are fools because you are in high office. Those who gave you that office are mama mbogas and boda boda riders," DP Ruto said.

Scores interpreted the DP's remarks last week as a rebuke of Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i even though he did not mention him by name.

His allies were more direct, calling the tough-talking cabinet secretary out directly.

"I want to challenge Matiang’i that we go to your village in Nyamira (County) and we run for the position of MCA with you and see if you will beat me. We want to tell these ministers that leading a country is not a joke,” Murkomen said according to the Standard article.

A few months ago, a number of CSs were accused of hatching a plan to assassinate the DP, an accusation that they strongly rejected.

Led by CS Peter Munya, they said that they had never met to plan to hurt the deputy president and that the meetings that they had were about development.
