Political analyst Ambrose Weda has lashed out at Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju over his recent clash with Deputy President William Ruto over party elections.
This was after Ruto said that the elections will come in several months, before 2020, only for Tuju to say that only relevant party bodies can make the declaration.
Speaking on Wednesday, Weda observed that Tuju is out to frustrate the DP, who doubles up as the Deputy Party Leader, which should not be the case.
He reminded the former Rarieda MP that he was just picked to help run the party at a time when he was a political nobody and should consider respecting the people who picked him.
"Tuju is overreaching. He was just invited from the wilderness , its Oloo (Onyango) who was leading the party. He should respect the DP, he is his boss," he said.
He made the remarks on KBC English Service, reminding Tuju how he was picked after attempting to run against President Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto in 2013.
At the time, said Weda, he was even advocating for their jailing at the International Criminal Court in 2011, saying that people who sponsor the 2007 clashes should be jailed at ICC.
He advised him to keep calm, saying that though he feels that he has some friends at the helm of the government, in reference to Uhuru, he might soon remain alone.
"Tuju should be wise, his friends in government might not be there forever. It's open like people like the president is headed for retirement. And age is not on his (Tuju) side," he added.
Tuju is not new to such and has also been under fire from Jubilee members to resign over allegations of frustrating the DP and working with his leading rival, ODM leader Raila Odinga.
