“Yes, we have signed Ibrahim Ochieng,” confirmed Stima Head Coach Salim Babu in a phone interview.

However, it is not clear the duration of his contract with the Club.

Ibrahim Ochieng Owino was one of the shining stars of the 2019 Chapa Dimba na Safaricom youth tournament, having helped his side to win the regional and national men title in Meru last month.

Manyatta United were crowned Champions after beating Rift Valley’s Al Ahly in the final played at the Kinoru Stadium in Meru on June 23.

The attacking midfielder was one of the over 30 players drawn from across the Country who toured Spain early this year, courtesy of telecommunications Company Safaricom, under the Chapa Dimba na Safaricom barner.

In a previous interview with this writer, the former Highway High School student said that his long time goal is to one day for play for English Premier League (EPL) side Arsenal.

“My dream team is Arsenal. I believe their structure and way of play suits me,” he said.

He was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) during the Chapa Dimba Nyanza regional finals held in Kisumu in February.
