Senator Mithika Linturi’s estranged wife Marianne Kitany has insisted that she was married to the lawmaker amid conflicting accounts from both parties.
Whereas Linturi maintains that he has never been married, Kitany is ready to go an extra mile to prove that they were once husband and wife.
On Wednesday, Kitany revealed that she spent Sh11 million to ensure that her love and Linturi grows strong.
She alluded that she had used the money on holiday to bond with the senator and his children.
Kitany claimed that she spent the alleged amount on their trip to Austria and she is shocked that the senator has the guards to deny their union.
“I took my personal initiative by taking all children including myself and Linturi we went for a trip to Austria where I spent a swooping Sh11 million for the purpose of making both children know each other and their new parents,” she told the court, as quoted by Capital FM.
She also said that the senator was living in a rented house before he decided to move into his house.
The complainant also said that she had given the senator Sh200,000 to settle his rent arrears after the landlord started demanding the same from him. The case is expected to resume on September 28.
