Orange Democratic Movement Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has dared Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi to fight Raila Odinga.
In an interview with KTN on Wednesday, ANC Secretary General Barack Muluka warned that Mr Musalia Mudavadi will launch an attack against Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Muluka said Mudavadi will not sit and watch President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mr Odinga push for constitutional amendments through BBI without following the law.
“Mudavadi will team up with other opponents to defeat President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga should the BBI lead to a referendum,” said Mr Muluka.
“My party leader Mudavadi and the party itself did not make any presentations to the Building Bridges Initiative, therefore, we will go flat out to shoot down any referendum if it is recommended.”
The BBI team is set to table a report in which various recommendations including a possible referendum are expected to be on the list.
But Sifuna, a close ally of Raila Odinga, on Thursday dismissed Musalia Mudavadi as a clown, insisting that the ODM party is ready for the duel.
"Is this today or March 2018? How many times can you "declare war"? Si you just start! Clowns," Wrote Sifuna in reference to past sentiments of Mudavadi.
Mr Mudavadi and Raila seems to be reading from different scripts politically. On Wednesday, ANC fielded Raila's former aide Eliud Owalo as Kibra by-election contender.
