A 32-year-old woman gave birth to quadruplets at Makindu hospital in Makueni County on Sunday night.
Hilda Mumo is now a mother of four after giving birth to three girls and a boy through cesarean section.
"I went to Sultan Hamud hospital at around 12 am on Sunday night with a throbbing headache. When I told them about my situation the referred me to Makindu hospital where a cesarean section was performed on me," said Hilda.
" I'm grateful to God and the doctors who attended to me," she added.
Isaac Makau a medical doctor at the hospital said that Hilda and the babies were fairing well.
"The first was a boy weighing 2kg then girls weighing 1.3kg,1.8kg, and 2kg. The babies and the mother are doing okay but we have put them under observation," said Makau.
"We had to operate on her because she could not have pushed all those babies and all of them are doing well," he said.
Hilda's husband Qibanys Kimeu observed that the kids have brought so much joy to his family but he has no idea how he will fend for all those kids.
He asked for the government and well-wishers to help him and his wife raise their kids.
