Former Buffalo School of Law Dean Prof Makau Mutua has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to reveal their net worth.
This is after ODM leader Raila Odinga claimed that he was worth only Sh2 billion while appearing on NTV on Sunday night.
In a tweet, the Kenyan US-based scholar alleged that the former prime minister had disclosed that his assets including the house at Karen in Nairobi among others were Worth Sh2 billion.
According to Prof Mutua, Ruto should then follow Raila's move and come out to declare the monetary value of his assets even though he had declined to do so on several occasions.
Further, he asserted that the DP and his boss should tell Kenyans what they own in monetary terms.
"The figures for @RailaOdinga and family are in — he’s worth KES 2 billion. Now @WilliamsRuto must disclose his net worth — which he refused to tell @KenMijungu. He and his boss should now follow suit and tell Kenyans their net worth," tweeted Prof Mutua.
