A section of MPs from the Maasai community have issued a 48-hour ultimatum to government to arrest Raila Odinga.
The MPs also demanded a full report on the status of the investigations against the NASA flag bearer over the recent incitement allegations.
Led by Kajiado West MP Moses ole Sakuda, the leaders argued that Raila's remarks during his tour of the constituency last week were “meant to incite the community against other groups in the region”.
The PMs drawn from Narok and Kajiado counties on Monday accused the National Cohesion and Integration Commission, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations of failing to take action on Raila.
“No one is above the law. We are giving the agencies 48 hours to give a report on the status of the ongoing investigations if at all any. The remarks come at a highly sensitive political season,” he said.
“We are aware NASA principals are scheduled to tour Kajiado county tomorrow again and we demand that they keep off the matter,” Sakuda added.
