Kiambu county governor William Kabogo has revealed that he has donated Shs. 4.8million to upgrade the Ndeiya Health Center in Limuru constituency.

The health center was in a poor state with lack of facilities as residents were forced to travel up to Limuru town to get the medical services that proved to be cumbersome.

Kabogo who was speaking in Thika town on Tuesday in a press briefing said that plans are underway in procuring prefabricated staff houses for the hospitals to boost efficiency and urgency of the doctors in the health center.

The county boss said that the Ndeiya Health Center is among the 18 health centers identified to be upgraded due to its wanting situation in the county which he launched together with Health CeC Jonah Mwangi.

“The Ndeiya health center is among the 18 health facilities to be upgraded in the county and thus I urge the residents of various wards to be patient for the development,” said Kabogo

Kabogo said that the residents especially expectant mothers were finding hard time in delivering during labour and the upgrade of the facility will help in provision of services thus urged the MCAs to pass the vehicle purchase bill for the residents to enjoy the services.

During the same meeting, Health CeC Jonah Mwangi lauded the county governor for the support in health centers saying atleast three hospitals have been upgraded and fifteen more to go citing the recent Gichuru dispensary in Ngewa ward which was donated with six ambulances.

Mwangi said that he will not tire to ensure hospitals are well furnished which will help improve the economy of the country with energetic citizens.
