The DP three weeks ago claimed his life was in danger after a letter that was purportedly written to President Uhuru Kenyatta by a member of the Cabinet informing him about the alleged murder plot emerged online.

Kajwang now opined that the claims are just additional proof that President Uhuru needs to reshuffle his Cabinet.

Speaking on Citizen TV's Day Break show on Monday, the senator said that with such suspicion in existence between people serving in the same leadership, it's evident that they cannot deliver.

"Sometimes you feel embarrassed being a Kenyan when the DP accuses members of the Cabinet (that he is part of) of planning to kill him; that is not a team that can deliver!" he said.

He noted that reports that the Cabinet is dysfunctional are no longer debatable, adding that the remaining part is to look at options to revive it if Kenyans who are also stakeholders in the government, are to be served.

"All Kenyans are shareholders in the government of Kenya. What is clear is that we have a dysfunctional Cabinet," he added.

CSs who were implicated in the alleged plot to eliminate the DP are Peter Munya (Trade), James Macharia (Transport), Sicily Kariuki (Health) and Joe Mucheru (ICT).

Though they have admitted holding meetings at La Mada Hotel, the group had denied plotting anything against anyone.
