The former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale has questioned Safaricom's abnormal profits a day after the death of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bob Collymore.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Khwalwale questioned whether their profits are fare business deals or just profiteering.

"Bob Collymore is dead en cremated. Fare thee well brother. Now time to ask the hard questions. Are the obnoxious astronomical profits by Safaricom fare business practices or mere profiteering?" he said.

His question was accompanied by a condolence message to the passing of Bob Collymore who had served as Safaricom's CEO for the longest time. 

Bob died from cancer at his home on Monday morning. He was cremated at Kariokor Hindu Crematorium, Nairobi on Tuesday a day after his death. 

During his time at the helm of the leading telecommunication providers, Bob invested various ways and things that ade sure Safaricom as a company was making profits and at the same time meeting customers satisfactions. 

The huge profits from Safaricom as an entity had Boni Khalwale asking questions and wanted questions given. Safaricom has been ranked severally as the top profit making company in the country with a enormous gap with the next company.
