Well, the problem is that everyone around seems so turned up by football when it doesn't strike you as that interesting. Now, this is hard to take in for the fanatics, but one wonders why the game has amassed such a huge fan base while you're still kinda struggling to love it.

This indifference is not easy to live with especially in these times. If given an opportunity, so many non-fans would lash out at football.

However, this anti-football thing is a feeling you have to keep to yourself because the game is everywhere and people love it so crazy, so if you can't like it you just sail along with the wave.

Here's why you've got to roll with it:

Football has a following all over the globe. Everywhere, even the so-called poor countries. It has infiltrated through every society. Looking back into the previous century, maybe there wasn't much of football in Africa, but when it arrived here, it became more than just a game, it is now culture.

The media is full of it, ensuring it reaches out to everyone. Things get spicy with the radio stations that broadcast live matches. If you ain't following up on football, its all on yourself, this thing has spread like a virus.

Football may also be the single most contributing game in the betting industry. It has somehow re-borne betting or rather revolutionised it. Take a look around, it's likely that you must know someone that bets, or someone that knows someone that does. Even with the current betting regulations, there is a significant number of people who bet on football more than any other game. Betting was for sure here way before football, but it's now lucrative more than ever, thanks to football. It's, in turn, made football more popular.

Furthermore, with all these football terminologies going around these days, you know like GGMU, or at times GOAT and the many more there is to mention, you feel like you're missing something if you can't relate to such.

Luckily enough, there is always that one or two players that you quite identify with, and will always talk about whenever you want to blend in with the football fanatics. Thanks to those, some of us have a little love left for football.

Well that should be enough to prove the point; football means quite a lot to most people, but not so much for some - the non-fans.

Sometimes it feels like we're being forced to love it. Maybe its time some of us begun to take interest in football.
