The commitment was made on Sunday by ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna at Cheptulu Salvation Army, in Hamisi Constituency, Vihiga County.

Sifuna argued that ANC was feeling the pinch after losing the Kibra by-election.

“Malala supported us in Kibra, ODM party will stand with him. ANC is pained after losing the by-election,” said Sifuna, as quoted by the Nation.

“They spent money and they are feeling the pinch. As the ODM secretary-general, I want to say that should they (ANC) oust you, we shall receive you," he added.

In a press conference on Saturday, the outspoken Kakamega senator said that he was ready to seek a fresh mandate on another party.

He dared his ANC party to go ahead and expunge his name from its list of party members.

Officials of the Musalia Mudavadi-led party took issue with the Kakamega legislator's decision to campaign for Imran Okoth in the November 7 by-election yet ANC had a candidate.

The party said that it would institute disciplinary action against the outspoken lawmaker.

Malala said that he had confidence that the people of Kakamega County would rally behind him should a by-election be called in the county.
