US-based law scholar Prof Makau Mutua has poked holes on senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen move of attending Mombasa Building Bridges Initiative rally, saying that when one can't beat them, you join them.
In a tweet on Saturday, Makau said that he thinks that the Tanga tanga leaders have finally seen the light.
"Methinks @kipmurkomen and the Tanga Tanga facto tums have SEEN THE LIGHT and HEARD THE GOOD NEWS. That’s why he (they) went to @TheRealBBI meet in Mombasa. Join them if you can’t beat them. Or the train will leave you at the station," Makau Mutua said
This happens after Murkomen attended Mombasa BBI rally and called Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga 'Baba'.
"Our father Raila Odinga we are happy because today it will be remembered for burying hatred of them versus. Kenya is united.(Baba wetu Raila Odinga tumefurahi leo kwa sababu leo itakumbukwa kuwa tumezika uhasama wa 'us versus them.' Kenya imeshikana kuenda mbele pamoja)" he said.
His revelation on accepting Raila as 'Baba' resulted to excitements at the rally, where senator James Orengo made fun of it.
Also, Murkomen claimed that since the Jubilee leaders are now okay with the creation of Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister position, then there is nothing that can now hinder Kenyans from going to a referendum.
