According to an article on Media Max-owned television news portal, Ms Mutheu complained to the law enforcement officers that a live call had been made to a vernacular station claiming that she had stuffed her house with millions of shillings.

The caller allegedly went on on claim that she earns a whopping 1.8 million shillings per day, a claim that the witchdoctor strongly rejected.

She said that the callers threatened to break into her house to take the money.

"They have threatened to break into my house and take the said-Ksh30 million away, " Mutheu said in her statement.

Annah Mutheu, who dropped out of school in class eight, is said to own a multi-million shilling mansion and a number of top of the range vehicles.

Mutheu is no stranger to controversy.

Last year she was arrested over her links to a hijacking syndicate.

The police at the time had claimed that people associated with her would hijack cars and take them to a house where they would be dismantled.

She was released after it was found that there was no evidence to link her to the criminal enterprise.
