Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Paul Makonda has said that couples promising to marry each other and eventually break the promise should be charged in a court of law.

Speaking from his office in a video shared on YouTube on Tuesday afternoon, Makonda said that it is very disturbing for a man to promise that he will marry a given woman and then disappear along the way.

He singled out Diamond Platnumz as one of his friends who promised several women home and then failed to keep them.

Mr Makonde said such like promises leave women in a bad state, disturbed and with a destroyed future. He hinted out that maybe one day Diamond's women might legally gang up against him.

"There are many friends of mine who are leading in promising marriage, including Diamond Platnumz, he he kept on promising to marry, there are chances those women he promised to marry might go to court for justice. (wapo rafiki wangu wengi sana, ambao kimsingi huwa ni wanaongoza ku-promise kuoa akiwemo Diamond, aliahidi tu kuoa kuoa, inaezekana siku moja wale wote walio ahidiwa wakaenda mahakamani naq wakapata haki yao)," said RC Makonde

Diamond was linked a number of women, starting from Wema Sepetu, Hamisa Mobetto, Zari Hassan, among others. He is now dating Kenyan media girl Tanasha Donna who is expectant with his baby boy, but it not yet clear if the 'Sikomi' hitmaker will marry her.

Their first wedding plans were shelves back in February. Until today no one knows the next date for their wedding.
