At least ten MCAs allied to Deputy President William Ruto were chased away from Nyandarua County Commissioner's office, reports the Standard.
President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday visited the county where he launched Njabini-Naivasha road which is estimated to cost Sh1.8 billion.
The MCAs are said to have kept at bay before the president's arrival, a move that could further irk tensions within the presidency.
"We had entered the venue waiting for the President to arrive when we were confronted by four men. They ordered us to leave saying that we belonged to Tangatanga. We are waiting for further directives here outside," said Chief whip Kamau Gathungu, as quoted by Standard.
Ol Kalou MP Ken Mukira who was also ejected out of the function wondered why he was being chased away and yet he was the host.
"This is very unfair to me to be chased away and yet I am the host. We are waiting for the governor to give us directions," Mukira said.
Early this month, two MPs were also blocked from attending a presidential function in Nakuru over alleged affiliation to Deputy President William Ruto.
The two, Susan Kihika and David Gikaria, accused security officials of working closely with the office of the president to frustrate them.
