Joe Mwangi, gymnast Wendy Waeni ex-manager on Tuesday was released on a Sh100, 000 cash bail or Sh200, 000 bond.
This comes after he denied the forgery charges levelled against him.
He had been accused of forging a letter, which he claimed came from the Interior CS Fred Matiang’i aimed at threatening Wendy’s mother Magdalene Syombua.
After arresting him last week, Joe has been in police custody at to pave way for investigations. Appearing before Milimani Court Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi last week, Joe denied this charges.
His vows started when Wendi Waeni appeared on JKL Show on Citizen TV. She revealed how Joe had misused her and left her without anything after doing shows around the world.
“I’ve been performing all over the world, and right now I live in Huruma because of Joe Mwangi. I’ve performed in Rwanda, Germany, and China… and I’ve not got even a single penny. My mum is really suffering right now, she sells sweets, I live in Huruma in a single-room with her,” revealed Wendy Waeni as quoted by Citizen Digital.
He, Joe came out to rubbish off this claims starting that Wendy had been incited by someone to say whatever she said.
He went ahead to disclose damaging secrets about Wendy's personal life.
More so, Joe stated that he gave Ms. Magdalene Syombua money which was meant for Wendy's school fees.
However, Syombua came out to decline these allegations saying that he only gave her a little money and not what he said.
