The Lakeside city Frisbee club has jetted back from Uganda after shining in the 7Hills Classic Frisbee Tournament played on Saturday.
The Black Fish Ultimate (BFU) popularly known as ‘Rech Marateng’, the tourney’s defending champions’ thrashed the Bullshark Entebbe 8-2 in the finals to defend their title.
The players arrived late Monday night.
They won all their round-robin games but lost to Impala that put them to position two in their pool, a position that booked them a spot in semifinals.
In semis, the club managed to wallop Kakamega Wolves 10-4, before facing the Bullshark Entebbe head-on in the finals.
Entebbe had also beaten Impala 7-6 in semis.
According to the club's Organizing Secretary Jaramogi Ochoro, the tourney was properly organized and it is up to the club to put more effort in order to stay top.
“The journey was okay and the tournament was well organized. It is upon us to put more effort to keep ourselves at the top,” Ochoro said.
The 7Hills Classic Tournament attracted nine Frisbee clubs namely; Black Fish Ultimate, Bounty Hunters (Kisumu), Kakamega Wolves, KEMRI Ultimate, Nairobi Cool Waters, the Bullsharks Entebbe, Impala Ultimate Uganda, Magnum Opus and Black Mamba of Tanzania.
The Lakeside city club will now join the rest of the Frisbee giants in the national championship late this year.
