According to detectives, 'Corporal' David Odhiambo Mito was linked to various criminal activities witnessed in the area.

At the time of his arrest at his home in Mihang’o, Mito was found in possession of assorted police items including uniforms, boots, socks, knapsacks, handcuffs, belts as well as both national and police flags.

Confirming the incidence,  Kayole Sub-County Police Commander Wilson Kosgei noted that another person, a civilian found at the house of Mito during his arrest was also arrested.

“As officers, we only have 3 pairs of uniform. How can an officer have more than that? When the suspect noticed police presence in his home, he attempted to escape by driving off but police intercepted him,” said Kosgei as quoted by Citizen Digital

“The DCI detectives and my office received tip-off from members of the public at around 10.00 am that there was information they wanted to share with me at Mihang’o. When we got there, they gave me information that made us raid Mito’s home,” he added.

Mito is being held at the  Kayole police station.
