Chief Justice David Maraga has joined the family, friends and relatives of the Lady Justice Roselyn Nambuye in mourning the death her husband, Retired Justice Daniel Aganyanya.
In his message of condolence, Maraga said that he learned about the death with deep shock. Maraga eulogized Anganyanya as a committed served who spared his time to serve the nation.
Anganyanya died after suffering a heart attack at his Cheptulu home in Hamisi, Vihiga County.
"I have learnt with great shock about the sad demise of your husband and our former colleague, Retired Justice Daniel Aganyanya. On behalf of the entire Judiciary, Judicial Service Commission and on my own behalf I wish to express to you our deepest condolences during this time of grief as you come to terms with the enormous loss," he said.He also said he will be remembered for the illustrious career. Maraga said the deceased served the Judiciary for more than three decades before he left office. "Justice Aganyanya had a lengthy career at the Judiciary spanning more than 38 years during which he served Kenyans with immense energy, dedication and integrity. He will be remembered because of his stringent work ethic and his commitment to the rule of law. We pray that the Almighty God continues to be the source of comfort and to you and the rest of the family, he added.
