Adelaide Khalwale, the wife of former Kakamega senator Adelaide Khalwale has died.
She died after a long run with cancer.
The news of her death was relayed to Media Max-owned K24 Television online news portal.
According to media reports she died on Saturday, 5, October morning.
Bonny Khalwale has tried to keep out of public the condition that his wife was battling with.
He has also been keen not to expose his wives to the public.
Adelaide was a member of the staff of the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology located in Kakamega County.
In a previous television interview, the outspoken former legislator had revealed that he has two wives with Adelaide being the first wife.
The second wife is called Josephine Khalwale.
This comes weeks after Bonny Khalwale officially joined the governing Jubilee party and threw his weight behind the 2022 presidential ambitions of deputy president Dr William Ruto.
His bid to oust Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya in the 2017 gubernatorial elections came up short as the incumbent retained his seat.
At the time of writing this article the renowned politician had not reacted, at least not publicly, to reports that one of his wives had succumbed to cancer.
