Police in Molo sub-county have launched investigation that will lead to the arrest of a 49 year old man who allegedly difilled a five year old girl on Sunday night.
According to the mother of the girl (whose identity we have kept for the purpose of sealing the young girl’s identity), the man whom he said is her boyfriend turned against the young girl and difilled her before escaping.
The said that Joseph Ndirangu came to her house at around midnight and went straight to the sitting room where the girl was sleeping, woke her up and took her to the latrine where she allegedly raped her before returning the girl to the house.
The mother said that she did not notice what happened to the girl until the following day in the morning.
"I slept without noticing what happened to my daughter,”” said the mother of the rape victim.
She claimed that she only noticed what happened when her son came to report that her sister was oozing blood from her private part.
My son came to me and told me that her sister was oozing blood from the private part as a mother I had to confirm after which I realised that my daughter was possibly raped,” alleged the mother.
When the girl was interrogated she revealed that Ndirangu, her mother’s boyfriend had raped her.
The girl was taken to Molo sub-county Hospital and later transferred to Nairobi Women Hospital where she is still admitted.
Molo police boss Stephen Kabii said that police have launched investigation into the matter as the suspect is still at large.
“We have launched investigation into the matter which we believe will lead to the arrest of the suspect,” said Kabii.
