Preparations for her burial are in top gear following her demise. Several leaders are expected to attend the final journey of the deceased as she is laid to rest at her Fort Tenan Home in Koru, Kisumu County in accordance with the Luo Traditions. 

Deputy Governor Hillary Barchok confirmed the plans to accord Laboso state burial after holding a meeting with Jubilee Party Top Leadership. 

Barchok, who is since expected to take over Laboso as per the current constitution, said that her death is a big blow to the people of Bomet but assured them that everything is under control. 

“We will do everything within our means in conjunction with the national government to ensure Dr Laboso is accorded a befitting send-off. It is sad to lose such a pillar, but we shall soldier on to implement her development agenda,” said Dr Barchok, as quoted by Daily Nation.

Detectives led by criminal investigations officer Jacob Muli, Police Commander Naomi Ichami and County commissioner Geoffrey Omoding contact security checks in both Koru and Sotik home ahead of the burial. 

The deceased body is expected to be flown from Lee Funeral Home for a requiem mass in Bomet before being transferred to Koru where she will be laid to rest.
