If you need to secure a white-collar job in Kenya or just a job, you must be connected by the person working in that company or industry.

Is there a story unfolding in your community? Let Hivisasa know

 If you don't have any connection, then getting a job can be an uphill task. However, there are various jobs one can employ himself or herself without being connected by anyone.

It is just all about being smart and thinking outside the box.

Here are some jobs that you can get without necessarily being connected;

1. Mechanical engineering

Mechanics is all about mending cars. In this job, you can open your own garage and start working on cars. Most graduates have been prospecting to work with companies not knowing that they can employ themselves and make ends meet.

The big problem is the capital to start your venture but you can easily borrow from a bank. As you can see, it doesn't need a connection.

2. Mitumba business

This one doesn't need a connection at all. It is all about identifying a gap in a particular place. Here, you only need to know potential consumers, their taste and preference. The business doesn't need much capital and therefore it easy to start. So long as you have the little capital, you are good to go.

If you need to realize a massive profit from this business, be sure of selling women's apparels.

 3. A doctor

Being a doctor isn't a joke. You don't have to be employed for you to treat people. You can start by opening a dispensary in places where there are no health services.

4. Pharmacist

Here, you don't have to rely on companies to get a job. If things are not well as you expected, open your own chemist, get a license and start selling drugs to the community.
