This comes as investigations intensify into the Equity Bank Moyale cash theft.

“Preliminary investigations reveal that the two were aware of regulations and security standards. They could have directed the pilot not to land at the airstrip at that time because no proper security measures had been put in place,” the affidavit reads in part as quoted by Citizen Digital

The two, were on duty and aware that the plane will be coming with the cash.

When the plane landed at OODA Airstrip Moyale, three men armed with a piston stor,ed from the waiting bay and ordered the three people who were in the plane to lie down.

They took two bags of money, and before taking off on a motorbike through an opening they had cut through the fence.

Reports indicate that a total of Sh42 million was stolen from a plane.

The two suspects will now be remanded at Kilimani Police Station.

The Prosecution has noted that the two have been detained not to temper with the investigation, and threaten key witnesses.

The case will be mentioned on October 2, 2019.
