Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta promised 11 state of the art stadias in their election campaigns before their first election in 2013, a vow they have been silent on since then.

But the DP on Sunday said the government has neither forgotten nor discarded the pledge, and is already in the process of delivering 11 new sporting facilities to Kenyans.

He said the stadia will be complete and ready for use by the end of next year, adding that the delay was due to the October 26 presidential rerun, which ate into the stadia funds.

"Part of the resources went into the second election we had. All 11 stadia will be completed by next year or end of next year," he said during an interview with K24's Anne Kiguta at his Karen residence.

He also lauded the Jubilee government, noting that it has made great strides on matters development, saying that more should be expected going forward.

"I want to say we have transformed and made progress to our country and must continue the path of transformation based on the best policies, programmes and ideas," the DP said.
