The Nairobi-based lawyer has been out of the country for a week now on a  holiday trip.

In a tweet, Kipkorir claimed that upon visiting Jamaica, he learnt that the reggae band which has made numerous performances in Kenya was not popular as Kenyans perceived.

He claimed that drivers and restaurants had no idea of Alaine or Morgan Heritage and that Kenyans had made them stars.

"I was in Jamaica for one week & travelled across the country. I asked the drivers I used & waiters in the restaurants I visited if they knew Alaine or Morgan Heritage... None of the Jamaicans I asked knew them ... They are unknowns in Jamaica .. Kenya makes “stars” of non-stars," the lawyer tweeted.

Morgan Heritage are popular among Kenyans for their thrilling hit songs and Grammy award-winning group.

On the other hand, Alaine is also familiar with Kenyans as she has done collabos with popular local artist among them being Willy Paul.

His tweet didn't settle well with a number of Kenyans who trolled him claiming that he was misinformed.

A section of Twitter users argued that the Kipkorir's choice of sample to interview was wrong hence giving wrong information.
