KDF began firing on all cylinders, a thing that paid off with a 4th-minute goal through Boniface Onyango header from a corner.

But, soldiers' joy was cut short with Villa Drochan equalizer on 20th minutes, before succumbing to Salim Babu charges; mounting pressure on 39th minutes, thanks to Benson Ochieng revolver that sank past the hapless Jacktone Odhiambo.

The goal did not dampen soldiers spirit, as they rallied to put things at par before half time through sub Michael Otieno.

The second half saw a number of changes, with both tacticians utilising their substitutes well in an effort to find the winning goal.

Though, it was Benjamin Nyangweso side that had the final say. Thanks to John Kago fierce shot that kissed the net past Samuel Odhiambo; with sub Ibrahim Shambi doing the donkey work.

Elsewhere, champions Gor Mahia fall 2 - 1 to Kakamega Homeboyz.

The defeat was Gor's second loss of the season even as Homeboyz registered a historic win against the tired visitors.

Shambi Kibwana and Ali Bhai goals were enough for Kakamega based team to see off Gor. Nicholas Kipkurui pulled a consolation for K'ogalo.
