This follows reports on Thursday that the PS who has not been in good terms with the DP had filed a report with the police, after being named in an alleged assassination plot.

However, Kibicho now says that he has not made any report of such nature, adding that he was equally shocked with the reports.

This comes only days after he was named among top state officers who have been allegedly holding meetings to realize the plot, including four Cabinet Secretaries.

Kibicho told the Nation that the reports could be emanating from people out to peddle falsehoods.

“It is utter nonsense, I have not made any complaint to anyone. There are people out there hawking falsehoods and they will be embarrassed,” he said.

This follows the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji's announcement that detectives from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) will be called in to handle the matter.

"We have been accused before of being biased in our work. We decided to bring an independent body to carry out investigations and identify the people who authored the suspicious letter and the origin of the allegations,” Haji told Daily Nation.

Also implicated in the plot are CSs Peter Munya (Trade), James Macharia (Transport), Sicily Kariuki (Health) and Joe Mucheru (ICT).
