Former Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale has weighed in on allegations that President Uhuru Kenyatta is in support of making adjustments to the current Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
Speaking on Monday during a phone call to the KTN, the outspoken former legislator said that the president had not shown any indication that he had issues with the current BBI report.
According to Khalwale, it was only the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader who had demonstrated dissatisfaction with the current BBI report.
"We are aware that up to now the president has not indicated that he is dissatisfied with Bomas BBI. It is only Raila through his rallies that is telling any Kenyan who cares to listen that they want a different BBI, " the former Kakamega senator said.
Khalwale is in the political wing that has said that it is satisfied with the report as was unveiled to the public and has resisted attempts to fundamentally alter it.
The BBI report was launched to members of the public last year by President Uhuru Kenyatta at the historic Bomas of Kenya to great pomp and circumstance.
Allies of the deputy president Dr William Ruto who seemed to be against the report before release, welcomed the BBI report after release, saying that it should be implemented as it was.
