Popular Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol is set to release a new album in February.
This is after the band which is famed for their hit songs such as Melanin, Sura Yako, Extravaganza, Isabella, Lazizi among others took a break of one year.
Ben Baraza better known as Bien in an interview with The Star revealed that they took the break from music so as to work on themselves and familiarize with the new management.
The band dropped their long term manager Marek Fuchs in unclear circumstances.
Marek Fuchs who was from the Czech Republic had propelled the band to the limelight.
Bien also pointed out that they were focused on marketing the artistes they had signed under Sol Generation record label.
"We allowed our signees to be known but now we are good," Bien stated in the interview.
According to the singer, the 20-song album was made in South Africa.
It features musicians from within and outside the country.
"We also took time and recorded our album in South Africa and now we are good to go. It is going to be a big thing for Sol Generation," Bien noted.
Sauti Sol seems to have adopted a unique genre and style of music. Their last song 'Extravaganza' brought a new taste of urban-rhumba style.
A good number of the songs in the new album will be Rhumba.
