Speaking during an exclusive interview with Tuko, Othuol said that Churchill has no contract with the comedians that take the stage on his Churchill Show which airs weekly.

According to Othuol, Churchill only gives individuals with a talent for making people laugh an opportunity to showcase what they can do in the hope that they can grow on their own and make money.

In spite of not having a contract with them, he gives the comedians money.

What he gives the comedians is an appreciation for the work that they have done.

"There is nothing like underpayment in the laugh industry. You know Churchill first of all has no contract with any comedian. Churchill gives you a platform, " Othuol Othuol said.

"And again no contract but he gives us money, some people don't just appreciate, " he added

Othuol who left the show amid an alcohol addiction rejected the notion peddled that the comedians are underpaid by Churchill.

He said that the veteran comedian and master of ceremony should be congratulated for giving scores of youths the opportunity and a platform to show what they can do.

Following the death of Mswahili Njenga after a battle with depression over being broke, there have been questions about whether the comedians are underpaid.
