Brian Shem Owino, one of the aspirants seeking the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket in the Kibra parliamentary race, has expressed his disappointment with the way the nomination exercise is proceeding.
Speaking on Saturday on the Kenya Television Network (KTN) after casting his ballot, Mr Owino said that there were names of voters which were missing in the register being used by the party.
"The exercise is not good because the people you are seeing here their names are missing in the register of IEBC and the party and they are voters. They voted here in last year's general election so the process is not good at all," the ODM aspirant said.
Mr Owino decried the delays that have marred the exercise.
The party had promised in the lead-up to the exercise that the nominations would go on smoothly.
Owino's claims are consistent with those made by some of the voters who showed up to participate in the exercise but found out that their names were missing in the register.
There was a heavy security presence at Olympic Primary School where the exercise is being carried out.
At the time of writing this article, the party had not responded to the criticisms leveled by voters who claim that their names are missing in the party's register.
