Kitany, a former staffer in the Office of the Deputy President, had requested the court to allow for live coverage of the case but the request was declined.

While giving direction on the case, Trial Magistrate Peter Gisora said that the decision had been reached after the consent of both parties in the suit, reports Capital FM.

The media houses have however been allowed to continue covering the case as some of the witnesses will be taking to the court to testify.

Kitany, through her lawyer, told the court that she has witnesses from Meru who are ready to testify in the case against the senator.

She also said that the evidence she will present in court is meant to prove that she was indeed married to the senator before things fell apart for them.

Kitany also said that Linturi is determined to intimidate some of the witnesses in the case to ensure that he wins the case.

She has accused the senator of forging signatures and using the properties from her relatives to obtain loans when everything was working on their part.
