The civil registration offices have been making headlines in the recent past, with residents raising concerns over poor service delivery.

"I hear Matiang'i is gonna visit the immigration centre tomorrow, those offices are adjacent please Mr CS pass by that rotten office maligning your name," said Gichana.

The vocal politician took to his Facebook on Thursday to express his dissatisfaction in the manner in which the registration exercise is being conducted.

He accused the officers working in the government offices of engaging in corruption by soliciting bribes from residents seeking their services.

This comes a few days after Mr Gichana threatened to hold demonstrations to demand the sacking of the officers if they do not change their ways.

He on Thursday noted that the plan to hold the demos still stands, and asked youths in the area to be on standby, urging them to come out in large numbers if required to participate in the protests.

"The plan to hold demonstrations to demand the sacking of the corrupt officers still stands. Youths should come out in large numbers on that day (Maandamano yako pale pale yakutimua hao mafisadi/mafisi. Vijana jitokeza kwa wingi siku hiyo)," he said.

"Vigilante justice is the way to go in modern Kenya," he added.
