As the Kenya Premier League (KPL) continues for 2019/20 season, we have assessed the players who have been in best form for the year 2019.
Here are five players who had some impacts on their clubs and the country this year;
Oscar Wamalwa
The Ulinzi Stars talisman has been in his best form this season. Wamalwa who bagged 3 goals for Harambee Stars in the concluded CECAFA senior challenge cup in Uganda has performed tremendously both at a club and at international level.
He has also scored five goals for Ulinzi Stars in KPL this year.
Kenneth Muguna
The midfield maestro is really enjoying his football in Gor Mahia. The K'Ogalo skipper is comfortable alongside Lawrence Juma, well manning the midfield and scoring goals for the KPL champions.
Muguna who has featured under Stars coach Francis Kimanzi for international duties has been a key player in the midfield both at CECAFA and AFCON qualifiers.
John Mark Makwata
Makwata has been the prolific striker for AFC Leopards this year.
The 27-year-old striker has been scoring goals for ingwe thus topping the AFC Leopards top scorer list. Despite being overlooked by Kimanzi, he still has time to make a debut for the national team.
Timothy Odhiambo
The soldier's gloves man Timothy Odhiambo was Kimanzi's first priority in the CECAFA tournament which was held in Uganda. Being named the best player of the month of October, Odhiambo seems the best substitute for Patrick Matasi.
Joash Onyango
Onyango who is mostly referred to as the "Berlin Wall" has been a key defender for Gor Mahia this year helping the club to concede few goals this year.
Having been introduced by former coach Sebastien Migne in the Harambee Stars squad, he guided the team to qualify for AFCON 2019 in Egypt.
Onyango is still the best centre back for Gor Mahia and the national team
