A video of a millitary officer teaching students has warmed the hearts of Kenyans due to the soldier's act of kindness.
The officer, Abdihakim Guhad Hassan is captured teaching pupils at Wel Marer Primary School in Ijara sub-county in Garissa County after teachers fled the region due to insecurity.
Non-local teachers living in Garissa have been leaving their duty stations over fear of being attacked by Al-Shabaab militants.
The video was posted online by Haal Oyow Ina Mohammed, a netizen who wants Interior CS Fred Matiang'i and Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai to reward the police officer for his kindness.
"APC Abdi Guhad Hassan teaching pupils at Well Marer primary due to lack of teachers #IG #CS Matiangi," posted Mohammed on his Facebook page.
In the video, Abdihakim goes beyond the call of duty to help the students and can be heard teaching them about Science.
The video has since been shared by other netizens with a section of them calling for the police officer to be given a State commendation for his act of kindness.
Here are some of the reactions.
