South Mugirango Member of Parliament Sylvanus Osoro has once again hit hard at Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i following his endorsement to vie for the presidency in 2022 by a section of Gusii leaders.
Speaking at Ekerenyo in Nyamira County on Monday at a fundraiser function presided over by Deputy President Dr William Ruto Osoro stated that Kenya is on a campaign mood to prepare early enough for 2022.
"Our people don't be cheated, the 2022 government plans have started this early. As you are here you will understand there are people who will never win even if you vote with your hands and legs. As Omogusii, we are preparing ourselves so that we avoid being locked out of government come 2022," he said.
The vocal MP who is an ally of DP Ruto dismissed Matiang'i's endorsement saying he has never contested in any position and therefore is not fit for any political seat.
"I heard some of our brothers came here in Nyamira and started telling you lets come together because we hear from Luo Nyanza that they have said that from Gusii here one of us will be the president. Yaani do you think someone who has contested all these years will pave way for you?," asked Osoro who also encouraged the Abagusii community to support Ruto despite the region being a stronghold of ODM since.
