Speaking during a church service at Oljororok Catholic Church in Nyahururu on Sunday, Kamanda said that those politicians who are opposing the referendum are ill-motivated and ill-driven.

He reminded those leaders who have rallied behind Thirdway Alliance party leader Ekuru Aukot’s Punguza Migizo initiative to reconsider the idea.

He noted that the BBI report will pave way for better leadership of this nation. He also praised President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Leader Raila Amolo Odinga for rooting for a united Kenya before the next general election.

Kamanda, who has been very vocal on matters of national interest, said that Uhuru and Raila mean well for this nation, adding that they deserve the support of the people to realize their goals.

"There is no turning back, the referendum should come faster so that we amend the Constitution. We are fully behind President Uhuru Kenyatta and the ODM leader Raila Odinga," said Mr Kamanda, as quoted by Daily Nation.

He further said that the increased cases of runaway corruption have affected the nation in different ways while citing the cases of stalled projects.

Kamanda reminded leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto to desist from attacking Raila after he agreed to work with Uhuru.
