Renowned lawyer and socio-political commentator Donald Kipkorir has launched a scathing attack on his veteran counterpart Dr John Khaminwa.
In a barbed tweet on Monday, Kipkorir appeared to take issue with Khaminwa's conduct in a court of law terming it disgraceful.
Kipkorir was not particularly impressed by Khaminwa's aggressive approach, attacking the lawyer representing the state, and insisting that the Attorney General Paul Kihara presents himself in court.
"Dr. John Khaminwa is a Senior Counsel & highly respected by his peers but his conduct in court today haranguing a junior lawyer was disgraceful. The State Counsel was correct in his submissions. Khaminwa insisted on AG being present in Court yet the Constitution excuses him," he wrote on Twitter.
Dr Khaminwa is the legal representative for embattled Canadian-based lawyer Miguna Miguna who is locked in a legal standoff with the immigration authorities.
Appearing in court on Monday alongside Harun Ndubi, Khaminwa demanded that the court do away with the lawyer representing the state calling him a little boy in constitutional law.
"I am glad you are not writing what he is saying, it is not worth writing at all," a visibly angry Dr Khaminwa said, according to a video shared on Twitter. (0:50-0:53)
