After the Ministry of Education banned tuition in all schools in the country, parents are supposed to find ways on how to keep the children engaged, school children tend to get bored during the holidays. 

Some of the ways and activities to keep the children engaged so that they are not idle to venture into harmful activities includes:

Let students help the parents in running their business 

Kiambu residents are known to be good managers when it comes to business. It is a nice idea to introduce the children into business when they are free, so that they grow up with business mind

2. Make up a story for the kids

This is the right time to share the love with the children. Engage them with nice stories about your (parents) communities, culture and beliefs, this will enable the children to understand their norms 

3. Show the children how to perform some chores 

This is necessary so that parents can raise up kids who can manage to do something else apart from reading. Show him how to prepare traditional foods, how to wash her or his own clothes and many other things

4. Play

You can buy them some balls, or any other gadgets that can help the kids play. Parents can also take part in their games as part of showing parental love to children 

5. Create without a plan

kids love to be creative, making boats, jet skis, airplanes, houses for their stuffed animals, and so many things that can keep them busy whole day. This is useful for small kids, who are learning to be creative. Remember to appreciate everything they will come up with.
