Street children have been forced by certain unavoidable circumstances to be in the streets. Some of these children have no homes they could go to, while others don’t know their parents or their family.
They struggle so much to make a living from the streets, with the hard living standards raising every day in the country.
Here are five things you should know about street children:
Some of them don’t do drugsNot all street boys and girls do drugs. Some of them don’t engage themselves in this bad behavior. They have refused to bow down to their friends' peer pressure, as they know the harm caused by these drugs.
They have groupsStreets children have certain groups they operate into. There are good groups and bad groups. You will clearly notice a good group by how they act when together. Bad street boys have formed groups that steal from innocent people.
They have talentSome street children have got amazing talent. Maybe it’s the hard living conditions forcing them to have these talents, but all in all they display amazing talents in martial arts, singing and dancing. Given a chance some of them could take our entertainment industry to another level with their talents.
Want to go to schoolSome street children are really in need of education. Their psyche to go to school has made them ask for help from people who are unavailable. When you talk to some of these children, you will realize some of them even speak in fluent English.
They will tell you they wish so much to be in school.
They offer helpNot all of them are bad. Some offer genuine help to get money for their survival. For instance, when you are lost and want to go somewhere, ask one of them and he will take you there using the shortest route. In return, be grateful by tipping him off.
