1. Thika Superhighway

This road connecting Nairobi and the industrial town Thika was officially inaugurated as a superhighway in November 2012 by the then President Mwai Kibaki.

The modern superhighway was a project worth $360m and the first of its kind in Kenya. It was anticipated that the superhighway would help realise Kenya's objective of attaining the status of a middle-income country by 2030.

2. Nairobi-Nakuru Highway

This road is well bult and flat thus, making transport from Nakuru to Nairobi very easy. Its majorly link the travelers that visit the city for business transactions.

The road offers beautiful view of Lake Elementaita Mt. Longonot and the crater making it essential to be used as a gateway to reach the place.

The government is however, working to expand the road to a dual carrier in order to minimize traffic on the busy road.

3. Mombasa-Nairobi road

This is the main road between Nairobi, and Mombasa, the country's largest port city.

This road, is part of the Great North Road, that links the Kenyan coast to the land-locked countries.

This road is very important to the country because of the role it plays in business transactions.

The government has plans to expand this road to dual carrige, with a total of six lanes outside Mombasa Island.

4. Kakamega Mumias road

This road is well constructed with very good light system providing security to the travelers.

It was constructed with significant support from the Mumias Sugar Company. Since it was constructed and completed, ithas been used as a great source of transport in the Western Kenya.

There are also a number of schools along the road.

5. The Great North Road

This is a great road that begins from Cape town (South Africa) and extends all the way to Cairo in Egypt and it support a number of business transactions around the places it passes.

The road records few accidents making it standout as the top and safe road in the country.
